Good morning,
I received a new Mixtrack Pro yesterday. After installing the driver (Asio 4 All) I installed Serato DJ Intro version 1.0. I have a pc labtop with Windows 7. I read through the user manual. After experimenting with the Mixtrack, it seems that 2 buttons are not functioning: 1) the STUTTER buttons on both sides are frozen; they are lit at all times, do not play any sample nor are they able to flash or be off. 2) The MANUAL buttons are frozen; also lit at all times, they cannot flash, so the AUTO mode cannot be enabled... Can you give an explanation for this? I have used the Mixtrack only with headphones so far.

No, as I mentioned, it's Serato DJ Intro version 1.0 that I installed. (By the way, Traktor LE 2 was also included in the box)...

Hi... when I un-installed Serato Intro a few days ago and installed Traktor, it seemed the MANUAL and STUTTER buttons were working... However, after re-installing Serato again, I'm sitting with the same problem; they are frozen. According to you, this shouldn't be the case with Serato Intro. So what should I do?

If you have the latest version of Intro it should not be the case. Please give us a call we can look at your system remotely.

Yes you will need internet to use remote assistance but we can still walk you through over the phone. No number needed just let them know what we have tried here.

tengo un problema? me he comprado la numark mixtrackpro y he instalado el traktor LE,pero no me gusta ,estoy acostumbrado a usar el virtualdj ,pero no puedo por que necesito el numero de serie para poder autorizar la actualizacion que he descargado de numark donde puedo encontrarlo.gracias-
Si su MIXTRACK Pro viene con Traktor no tendrá un código de Viirtual Dj autorización.

The latest version Serato Intro will have no setup required for the mixtrack pro so its an easy way to determine if the issue is hardware related. Let me know if you have more questions. -

IT IS NOT THE BUTTONS!!!!!!!!!! it is the Serato. It is incabpable of doing the AUTO LOOP Function ... IF you download the VIrtual DJ free edition You will see what you are missing out on. The stutter Button which is KEY does not work Either. You also get way more FX and it lights up the SYNC button on the beat. The Mixtrack pro was made to work with VIRTUAL DJ>.. all the Euros got it with theres but SERATO obviouly struck a deal with NUMARK and we all got SREWED IN THE PROCESS>>>Im Waiting on the phone now to try and get my free copy of VIRTUAL DJ LE please call and GIVE THE HELL.

Hi , Same Issue here, Mixtrack Pro, Serato DJ Intro, & the Stutter and Manual buttons seem to be disabled in the software. I just bought this thing brand new. Please tell me this can be corrected- view 1 more comment

And what about the Stutter function then? Both of these features are of fundamental importance to me. I think I'll need to return this thing to the store where I bought it. Glad I kept the box. : )

I called Numark and explained how I was frustrated that the auto loop and stutter capability were not possible with the serato software. they are aware of this they just don't want to tell u. after ample bitching they gave me virtual Dj and a serial code. mixtrack pro works best (for now) in virtual Dj but I am willing to bet any day there will be a Dj intro update that solves these issues. from what I've seen serato is way more fluid and less glitchy so that would be best case scenario.

As far as i know there is nothing slated to change in Serato intro but i will keep you updated if something does change in the future. -

Hi Anthony,
Did the buttons actually freeze up the program and the controller or do the just not do anything when you press them?
Functions of these buttons are determined on what software you are using your Mixtrack Pro with.
What program are you using your Mixtrack Pro with, and on what operating system? -

I am having the exact Same problem here!!!! (no stutter and no auto loop in Serato software) I am running windows 7 on a laptop. I was going crazy until I read the forums and saw others were having this problem. Could Numark send Us codes for Virtual DJ L/E until this problem is resolved please??????

There is no stutter effect built into serato so that is one of the functions that you will not be able to access.
As for the Auto-loops, what version of Serato are you using? -

so tell me numark, will any version of Serato software unlock the full functionally of my mixtrack pro? ( the stutter button and the auto loop) -

Unfortunately it is up to the software developers to add this type of functionality. Here is a quote from a serato employee:
"At this point that is the way they are meant to function. There is no "manual" or "stutter" function in Serato Dj Intro, therefore they won't get in the way of the other functions in the software. You may see these buttons used for other features in a future release :) Probably the lighting up of the other buttons too"
As for the Auto loop function, it works great in the new Serato DJ. -
