Jeff Borckardt May 15, 2012 15:29I also spent $4000 to get a MixDeck and a brand new mac to run Serato or even Cue... I get audio drop-outs when I try to use Serato, and I'm not going to bother with Cue because I was just informed that the hardware drivers for the MixDeck do not work with MacOs10.7 and thus there will be nothing to fix the issue(s) until the new drivers come out... Numark had no idea when those are coming out. I now have a very expensive pile of useless equipment, and have to cancel several gigs that I have booked... A BIG SARCASTIC THANKS to Numark!!!! garbage is right!EditDeleteRemove

Numark Omni Control.
Using the driver
OMNI CONTROL - Macintosh Drivers [v2.0.2]
This release adds support for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Updated by Numark 09/29/2009.
does not work under 10.7 but under 10.6 -
-
is there perhaps a workaround for using the Numark omni control with Mac OS Lion 10.7 or 10.7.1
I changed from Hercules to Numark because of the long development cycles i hope i dont have to change again -
-
Hello, please uninstall the drivers using the latest driver package from the website, reboot and then re-install the latest drivers.
There seems to be an issue with the Lion installer that removes some key files for Midi and audio device drivers. -
-
i am using numark djio with my numark total control and i just bought my macbook pro 2011 with os x lion 10.7.1... the problem is there is no driver that can support the djio for my macbook and i need it badly by this coming last week of september.. is there any driver updates coming?
-
-

please put the installation procedure on the drivers download site or in the release notes!
thank you very much for the response! -

Weird. Mine installed without a hitch. And it reinstalls without a hitch, but to get it working on a regular basis is what I'm having trouble with. I have to reinstall the driver for the DJ/IO almost every time I use it.

did you deactivate anything? Clean Install? Which OS Version, 10.7.1? procedure?

Hello, there is actually no change in Lions audio from previous drivers. It sounds like some users are having an issue downloading from the website we are looking into this now. I would advise contacting us directly and we can resolve this issue for you remotely using our remote access software.

but there is no midi and NO audio connection in traktor!!
for me there may be no change but there is something wrong! BADLY! -

Figured it out. Didnt know that there was a 2.0.2 software. but installed it and it worked..
Here is the Link for Lion Update 2.0.2 Driver
http://www.numark.com/company/media2.... -
-
The new 2.0.2 Driver works in Lion.. but there are no audio controls and the volume slider is locked/greyed out.
It it too loud and there's no way to turn it down. Some driver. -
-
With The total Control all audio controls work. Are you using a midi controller??
-
-
I can't even extract the archive - it says the zip file's corrupt and the resulting DMG file won't mount. Anyone have an alternative source?
-
-
why isn't mine working?
os x lion
mixdeck (updated!)
traktor (updated!)
NI drivers (updated!)
numark usb audio driver (updated!) -
-
My Total Control is not working with Mixxx.
When I click in buttons in the program with the mouse, the lights on the controller respond, but the program is not responding to the commands directly on the controller.
Does anyone had the same problem I'm having?
Does anyone know how to resolve it? -

No luck.
Tried all of the above - Omni Control is recognized as a "MIDI Device" not as "Numark Omni Control."
Have tried all of the above suggestions.
Am using MacBook Pro, OS X Lion 10.7.2
Numark driver 2.0.2
With DJay 4.0.2-
having same problem - djay's "MIDI Learn" doesn't work as a result.

Numark Driver 2.0.2
Virtual DJ LE
I've been trying to figure out how to use both my computer's sound card and the dj io sound card simultaneiously. I want to do master left/ headphones right. I've gotten this to work more than once. Then 5 minutes into a mix the headphones cut out and I start hearing both tracks through the headphones. It has to be the Numark Driver.
When will you be releasing the dj io driver for Lion? I really don't want to have to go back to Snow Leopard just so I can mix music. -
-
I am using a Numark Mixdeck with my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6
I can't get OSX to recognize my Mixdeck. it finds it then it disappears.
I was able to get it to work once with Traktor, but as soon as I changed from 44.1 to 48, it locked up and I couldn't get the Mac to recognize it and stay connected.
I have installed and uninstalled the drivers multiple times.
I don't understand why this is so difficult.
My M-Audio drivers work like a charm.
Any help will be greatly appreciated-
I did the same thing ( Accidentally moved 44.1 to 48 in Traktor) and after 8 hours straight of troubleshooting I still haven't fixed it.
I'm running Lion on My Macbook pro. -

I need to know 100% if this lion osx program is going to be an issue with the numark mixdeck. Iam steps away from purchasing a brand new mac pro and the numark mixdeck, a very expensive investment .Iam very apprehensive because of these forums I have been following with very unhappy customers stating the new lion program is not compatiable with numark mixdeck and others. I already have to work around it not working with my 4th gen ipod touch I really do not want another issue with programing when Iam brand new to this . Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

I updated my Mac with Lion and mixdeck is NOT working! (you can come and test at my place before you buy!!!!) *Belgium!!! :)
otherwise try to search for some place to see it work or DONT buy! -

what is this conversion all about - http://www.antoniogalano.com/?q=Utility

That is the solution. Those are the steps I followed to resolve the driver installation problems I had after my upgrade to Lion. Since doing the dmg conversion was the most complicated thing out of it, the link above has already done it for you so just download his already converted dmg and you're laughing.

i am always suspicious of downloading dmg's from unknown sources, i would prefer to have numark give me a solution to the product i have purchased otherwise i will find a new vendor.

It seems that the problem is solved for the numark djio, but for NS6's all the same! Unsolved! Or has someone figured out how to solve the problem? Thanks.

1If anyone is having only midi IO issues please give this a try. It has worked for my users that have updated to Lion and no longer recognize midi controllers. If you are having issues with all connection please give us a call.

Empty the contents of the following folders by moving them to two new folders on your desktop:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Macintosh HD > Users > [Your User Name] > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
These are the places where third-party MIDI drivers are stored. If they have become corrupt, or they haven't been installed correctly, removing them and starting over may help.
Restart your computer.
Try your MIDI device again.

Ok. So I uninstalled the previous drivers and installed the new ones from this page:
http://www.numark.com/support/downloa...
The direct link to the 2.0.2 drivers is: http://www.numark.com/images/product_...
Everything was working fine and the Omni Control was working great with Traktor. Then I unplugged it and put it away. After a few hours, I plugged it again and a strange loud noise started coming from my outputs of Omni (both from main output and in headphones). It's a screeching sound and very annoying. I unplugged and replugged the USB and after a few attempts it went away. But it came back when I unplugged and replugged it.
I then reinstalled the drivers and the sound went away again, only to return after a few hours.
Why is this happening?! -
-
I think i'm the first EU user of the Numark 4TRAK.
i use a Mac OS X 10.7.3 2.3 GHz i5 4GB
FX BAR functions good with TRAKTOR everything you do is displayed in TRAKTOR
but the complete board with platters CUE SYNC Pitch aren't working as they should.. not one button is working in TRAKTOR Midi drivers deleted and reinstalled
what can i do about it. how can i make it all work...
youtube movie about 4TRAK is'nt solving -
-
I bought a Numark 4Trak in the UK last week and it doesn't work on my Macbook pro which is an i7 version that was upgraded to Lion last July. I followed all of the internet guidance from Numark and it was useless in terms of fixing the problem. FX unit worked and the sound came through the headphones but none of the main console buttons worked.
I just spoke to Numark customer support and it is a known problem. There is ZERO timescale they can give as to when it will be fixed. I was told that there will be a future release of Traktor and that Numark are also trying their own workaround. In IT language this says to me that nobody has a clue what the issue is or how to fix it.
Numark claim that some Macs running Lion can operate the 4Trak. Frankly, having seen the threads on here I wouldn't trust that. My vendor also told me flat out that it doesn't work with Lion (the vendor is a major dj vendor in the UK and should sell enough to know...) I also think the advice to switch back to Snow Leopard is misguided - that is not a straightforward thing to do.
In short, my opinion is DO NOT BUY NUMARK 4TRAK if you're using OS X Lion. -

Hi just bought a macbook pro version 10.7.2 and just hooked it up with Numark omni control. I tried it out with tractor LE just to give it a try but the midi doesnt come up as an audio device. I am just wondering if there are some driver updates for the device. Please help!! Thanks

I have a new MBP (OS X LION) with Omni Control + Traktor LE. I driver install / re-install suggestions. Does not work on my machine. I tried the Traktor PRO demo and it works, but having trouble with audio output, but Omni control lights up and works.
http://www.native-instruments.com/#/e...
Tried to use Traktor LE, and it still doesn't work. -
-
The Omni Controller works with Traktor and other Software just fine but there is one issue you still did not cover and it's just the most annoying thing possible: you can't adjust the global volume on your pc when the controller is connected - it is just set to MAX permanently.
The controller doesn't have a sole purpose to create musik or mix it - it should be useable alone for the sound card inside it. Believe it or not at least 83% of everyone who owns one actually wants to just listen to musik sometimes. And it is a drag to have to disconnect the speakers from the controller and connect them directly to the Mac (which mostly also requires an extra adapter). Worst is that in lots of Software (eg. ITunes / Quick Time / Beatport Preview) if you manually set the volume to minimal it is still TOO LOUD.
This nonsense has gone on for long enough please adress this issue already or it will have been the last product I shall purchase from the Numark company and I am certain plenty of other people feel the same.
If a product is old it does not mean you can just abandon your previous customers. -
-
I Agree a 100 percent with Alex Lesi. Numark cannot abandon previous customers just because a product has been discontinued! I am frustrated that there isn't any drivers for mac osx lion. The majority off djs choose apple to work and it is ridiculous that the people who bought this product cannot use it with Lion. This was my last product bought from unmark unless the come up with a solution fast!!

Hello,
As far as we know the Omni Control driver its self is functional with the latest OS. The trouble is that Traktor LE was designed for previous versions of the OS and there have been no updates from Native Instruments.
You would need to upgrade your software or use an alternative such as the free MIXX software or Virtual DJ which both work on the latest operating systems.
Skipping can also be caused by other issues on your system. It sounds like you are setting the omni control as your macs primary sound-card. You should not do this for DJ performance. The Omni Control is designed to be a high quality audio interface for your software and was not intended to be a generic sound card. It does work but this comes with some limitations.-
Oh come on there is no such thing as not adding the option to adjust the volume. It makes no sense and I know absolutely no controller that doesn't support this on any operating system it is supposed to work on (at least eventually). As far as I know this wasn't an issue in the previous Mac OS X, so why not provide it for Lion? If we use it as our primary sound card or not should be our own choice. As I said if we use the built-in one you require adaptor cables and need to unplug and replug the speakers from it to the mac - thus rendering the controller useless at that point, even though it has a competent sound-card which is most likely far better than the built-in one.
I'm sorry but no matter how you twist this a working volume fader for the global sound is a MUST for ANY sound-card, no matter what it is used for. -

I contacted your support team and my reply was that i cannot use my midi because it is discontinued but i wasn't informed that the problem was the dj program me i use. i will give it a shot ! any ideas if it works with other tractor versions? Thanks

i have this problem:
i have a NS6 and a macbook with Lion. My Virtual DJ Pro don't recognize the NS6.
instead, my old iMac with snow leopard.. run in easy.
I used the suggested info written above, but no results.
I installed the 2.1.0 driver, and Virtual DJ 7.0.5pro. VDJ set NS6 as soundcard.. ma no midi signal received!!! I cannot use my NS6 with VDJ ?!!? -

Hi, Despite contacting Numark product Support several times I still cant get to run my Omni Control to run under Mac OS X 10.7.3
I use driver 2.0.2 from the website and have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. When I connect the Omni Control and use Audio Panel it always says unconnected.
The Panel works, as when i contact it independantly to a Windows 7 PC it works without trouble.
It seems to be several ppl here have same issue - any solution? -
-
My system recognizes the MixDeck, but I get audio drop-outs when I load a song into the deck that isn't playing. Despite having a BRAND NEW, DECKED-OUT macbook pro, it still glitches. I tried all the system and USB optimization recommendations from the website and tried all of the USB buffer settings, but nothing changed. I was just informed by Numark on the phone that the hardware drivers for the MixDeck do not really work with MacOs10.7 and thus there will be nothing to fix the issue(s) until the new drivers come out... Numark had no idea when those are coming out. I now have a very expensive pile of useless equipment, and have to cancel several gigs that I have booked.
