Now that we are very close to the final release of 10.8 Mountain Lion I wonder if there will be updated drivers as version 2.1.5 was NEVER working and even with the GM release OSX crashes, when 4track will be plugged or unplugged!
- I am happy to test beta version for upcoming drivers!
- I am happy to share crash logs if of any interest

The 'Beta' drivers are no longer BETA. Please use the latest OS X driver (v2.1.18) for 10.8 support for your Numark controller.
These drivers are also backwards compatible with previous OS X versions. -

Currently the 4Trak driver is good for up to osx 10.7. Testing has not completed on 10.8. Stay tuned to the 4Trak page for update details.Comment

Now that Mountain lion is out, is there an ETA for NS6 10.8 Drivers. My unit it an expensive brick until this gets sorted out!! -

What does it make so difficult to get development done in time?
Since years, I buy Numark products - maybe I need to change this as the driver support is very, very bad! -

1Yeah, this is bad. There should be some sort of beta out or at least an ETA. Bought this otherwise good unit and registered. I at least expect for the powers to be to advise when something this big is going on. Im sure someone somewhere is buying this stuff to work with they're new mac and are in for a big surprise. If I could I would return this!!

1Can someone please send an E-Mail or at least forward this problem to Serato/Numark. When I open ITCH the hardware is recognised for a split second and then the icon "Hardwar Disconnected" keeps flashing at me, I restarted my computer, re-installed the driver, re-installed ITCH and it still wont work. Let's please get this fixed ASAP. -

I am fuming at this! We spend all of this money to both company's and get bricks! I'm loosing money (and I can imagine everyone here is too) as I cannot work without my equipment! I (and once again everyone here as well) don't care if you allow us to download a beta version , its better then it not working at all! Numark please sort it out and fast!

I have a Numark 4Trak as well and I'm glad i'm not the only one with this friggin problem. Still annoying all the same, but at least i'm not going crazy thinking I did something wrong with installation!

Updated to Mountain Lion... luckily had a time machine backup with Lion so I could roll it back. Very frustrating -

1This seems to work, Cant take the props for this, I found it on the serato forums!!
Go to spot light, search for "java preferences"
You will be prompted to update Java when you try to open it. Update Java. Re-install ITCH 2.2
Restart
Open up ITCH with the NS6 turned off, gave the ITCH time to load up and then turn on the NS6, connected.-
One billion internets for you good Sir. Had to reconfigure the whole MIDI, but at least I got my audio drivers in order again. Totally saved me!

Attention Traktor Pro users, you may also have to download the audio (beta) drivers for Traktor along with the driver (beta) for your controller in my case the 4 Trak. I did both and I am glad to announce I'm back in business!!!!!!!!!!!

You will need to check for updates/patches with all software manufactures. Some are not 'officially supported' yet, so bugs should be expected in these cases. -

I tried recording (by activating the record button) on my 4 Tark using the beta driver and and got a wav file that I couldn't hear. Any one else experience this? Could this be on of the bugs that needs to be worked out in the beta?

Coming from someone who uses his Numark equipment professionally this is a gigantic mess. It seems to be that ML came out and someone at Numark went... "oh yea...that...maybe we should figured that out now"
It's not like ML was a big secret - why wasn't this planned for?
I gig multiple times a week and am sweating bullets as I had to roll back to my time machine backup that is missing cue points etc.
Your beta is very buggy and lacks proper QA resources and release management guidance.

To J Standeen, if you are not sure how pointing to other companies lack of proper preparation for a new OS on a board pointing out your pathetic lack of preparation for a new OS is making up excuses or perhaps more accurately 'trying to deflect attention' to your failure then are surely either attempting to deceive us to cover up your joke of an attempt or a fool. You may choose.
But don't treat your customers who have paid good money for expensive pro gear that you dropped the ball on drivers for as fools, we do not appreciate it.
What I personally would appreciate is proper prep for a new OS #1, and baring that perhaps something as radical as the truth, something along the lines of "sorry guys we dropped the ball here, we thought it would be ready in time but we had some issues and it got delayed. We are very sorry, we know many of use our gear in professional situations and need us to be ready for is. We will have then ready likely in 'X' amount of days and promise to take adequate steps to ensure that this situation is not repeated next time."
See the difference? One shows respect and the other treats us like morons and makes us consider other companies equipment next round. Pretty obvious I would have though but apparently not. -

So what is the actual problem you are all facing? These seem like opinions rather than actual issues with the driver. So what is the issue, software, system specs? If you are really looking to help driver development, these would be the correct steps to take.

no iv used it for a long time fine on lion i just sold my 13 and15in MBP to get a 2200$ rMBP and they now only ship with lion and you cant downgrade...

Well, i have different problems :
-at first itch recognized the NS6 but the sound was terrible
-then itch proposed me to upload my ns6. i did it. ---> now itch doesn't recognize the ns6 and all the lights of my controller are on.
-i tried to reinstall everything : itch then beta for drivers but nothing. same problem.

Using this midi monitoring software are you able to get any midi messages to the computer from the controller?

Just make sure the driver is properly installed and you will see it as an option in either software.

Gigged at the weekend with my Numark omni control and an older MacBook Pro with OS 10.7.4 and the Numark_OMNICONTROL_1.6.6 driver package and everything was fine.
Now I have bought a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.1 and the Numark_OMNICONTROL_Driver_2 drivers and it doesn't seem to work at all - when plugged in the headphones just make a loud rapid clicking sound. :(
Any ideas? Or is this not going to be fixed because the product is discontinued?- view 2 more comments

Been using Mixdeck for over an year with Traktor LE, upgraded to mountain lion,

What does you device manager tell you about the mixdeck when its connected? What status do you see under the details?

my 4trak is connected to the macbook late 2008 running 10.8 but traktor doesn't seem the recognize it can somebody help plz? they had (numark) a beta driver for the 4trak for 10.8 now it's not available anymore.. can somebody send it to me if he has a copy saved on his HD-

I cant get the drivers to work for my V7s!!! =((( im on the newest itch from serato and have the beta drivers from numark installed but serato doesn't pick up my tables ! =( i checked all the wires, the audio panel does read my v7's but nothing ! help !
