Problem Omni control+OS X Lion+Traktor
Hello, i have the Numark Omni Control and i've had troubles with my Macbook, like i've updated the OS X Lion (Before I had OS X Snow Leopard) and since then i never couldn't use the driver, it doesn't recognize my macbook, the software I use is Tracktor LE, this is due that I need new drivers for the new OS X Lion?

I'm not sure OS X Lion supports hardly any VDJ suites or DAWs.
I've got a NS7 + Itch 2.0 and was advised through the forums on Numark's site, not to upgrade to 10.7 as it is brand new and they are unsure of the hardware support until they rewrite their software to be compatible with Lion.
Hope this helps, and I hope you don't actually need to downgrade back to OS X 10.6.8
I know the software and hardware on your side is different from what I described, but I bet you good, breathable air that is the issue.
Back up your stuff and re-install OS X 10.6.8 if you've gotta! -

Hello we recommend reinstalling the drivers upgrade installs of lion can remove key files. Also make sure you have the latest traktor update via the service center

I have Tracktor Pro 2 ...My omini control doest detect at all. Unfortunatly i use the mac osx lion (10.7.1) i really dont know what to do. I want this to work asap. Please help. -

1Just unbelievable to see that since the announce of Lion, numark didn't do anything to permit its customers be able to use numark products with Lion-mac...
Spending 72h trying to find a solution to deal with my MixDeck on my brand new MBP (Lion-delivered, of course...), I discovered numark products were the only "professional-like" products not functionning with Lion !!!
Especially when Mac-connected products are shown as the last achievement numark is proud of !!!
it works with an iPad... but not with a Macbook pro !!!
Next, I will go for Denon
(let you imagine how it feels when you arrive in a club with... your mixdeck... and... a 27' iMac + external hdd... for a 90min set... I will change my name...) -

I have a 13" Mac Book Pro. I just upgraded to Lion OSX 10.7.1
Im using the Numark Mixdeck with Traktor 2. Having the same issues as well..
All drivers for Numark ( ver. 2.0.2) , Software for Traktor (ver. 2.0.3) and firmware for the Mixdeck (ver. 039) are all up to dated.
My issue is that the Numark Mixdeck will not appear in Traktor as an audio device. I run the setup wizard and make all the correct selections but afterwards the audio device always sets to "Audio 8 DJ" - all other options are all my other sound cards, but no Numark Mixdeck.
So I read something on a forum. It says to unistall the drivers and then re-install them. So I did that. So when I opened up Traktor I put on the Mixdeck and Numark Audio Panel picked up the Mixdeck and then I checked Traktor the Mixdeck showed up on the list so when I go to click it. My Mac just froze for about 10 seconds. The pinwheel just started spinning. Then it stopped and said no audio device selected please choose. It looks like it wants to start but something is not letting it. I also read that all Numark and Traktor drivers are Lion ready. But it seems like everyone is having the same problem. I think it on the Numark side not Traktor. Does something else have to be done? I really do not want to downgrade back to Snow Leopard. I will lose all music. I really do not want to do that. Or do I have to wait until the right drivers come out and god knows how long will that be. I second that. the re-install trick is worthless. -

I have the same problem, I ordered a mac with lion osx a few days ago, installed the omnicontrol driver (twice). When I plug my omnicontrol deck, the mac detect it, but when I open Traktor (pro 2) it doesn't function.
I have to mix with it on saturday, could you answer me until then please?

What I did was I downgraded back to Snow Leopard. I know it sucks but this is what I had to do to get my equipment back and running. When Numark comes with the correct drivers I will reinstall the Lion back on my Mac.

Hi guys,
I ve just bought a MacBook Pro and sadly I've found out that Omnicontro does not appear in the list of controller that are supported by traktor pro.
Does anybody got an idea about how long it will take to get this problem fixed by unmark. I got some important gigs coming up and I need to stay on budget.... therefore no new controller for me....
If this doesn't work I am big time screwed.

With the current driver you also can't set the overall volume. My speakers are connected through an Omni Controller. It's just always max. Says the device has no output controls.-

hello i,m a noob to this stuff, my son wants me to get him a omni controller for christmas and some speakers, he's got a mac running traktor pro on lion, am i right in thinking that this controller will not work on his computer or will there be an update from numark to make it work

Hello, the current drivers available on our website are fully compatible.
Some older units come with Traktor 3 which does not support Lion. Traktor Pro however fully supports it. -

Can you post a link to the new drivers... because there isn't anything new in the Omni control page.
To be able to carry out my djing over the last months I had to reinstall SL on another partition on my hard drive and the thing sucked big times, if there's a new solution that'd be appreciated, if not required.

Use a program like clean my Mac to uninstall. Then restart comp then install 1.6 then restart comp then install 2.0.2 then restart again. Everything works fine on my Mac using traktor pro and pro 2 with lion os

hi, i received my omni controller today, downloaded mac driver v1.6.6 binary and installed and restarted comp, then downloaded and installed mac driver v2.0.2 and restarted my comp again, i plugged in the omni controller started traktor and it recognised it straight away and every things working perfectly on it. using it on a iMac with lion installed

i have the same problems with mixdeck and traktor pro, once of a sudden no midi anymore and traktor does not recognize the mixdeck driver, reinstalled everything but no resulr -

Traktor does not even display Mixdeck as an option in the Audio Settings under preferences. The only option in Audio Settings > Audio Device is Audio 8 DJ and Built in core. I updated everything and still nothing. When I have the Mixdeck plugged into the computer while running Traktor, Traktor freezes.

Have you tried this work around?
(Use the following steps if the Mixdeck driver is not being recognized on a Mac computer with OSX 10.6 and above.)
Download both the 2.0.2 and the 1.6.9 drivers from Numark.com/mixdeck under the documents and downloads tab*
1. Using the “Numark Driver Remover” remove Driver version 2.0.2.
2. Restart*
3. Download driver 1.6.9 and install.
4. Restart
5. Remove driver 1.6.9 using the “Numark Driver Remover”
6. Restart
7. Install driver 2.0.2
8. Restart
You will be forced to restart after the installation of new drivers." -

I need to know 100% if this lion osx program is going to be an issue with the numark mixdeck. Iam steps away from purchasing a brand new mac pro and the numark mixdeck, a very expensive investment .Iam very apprehensive because of these forums I have been following with very unhappy customers stating the new lion program is not compatiable with numark mixdeck and others. I already have to work around it not working with my 4th gen ipod touch I really do not want another issue with programing when Iam brand new to this . Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.-
Sorry for the confussion we do not have official support for Lion on the Mixdeck as of now but you may find that some users will have success with the latest driver. If your product states that is it compatible and your are having issues please give us a call.

Hi there i recently bought an omni control installed the software, tractor LE keeps coming up with no default setting please re-install. numark service panel is recognising my controller but, the lights are not coming up or responding. Hi, for all mixdeck users.
Mixdeck works with lion when you use Traktor Pro.I had the same problems with lion, at least i had to downgrade to snow leopard(Macbook).by accident i played the mixdeck on the my imac and i realised that With Traktor Pro are no problems. -
